President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid a wreath at the Independence Monument as part of a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of independence, TDH reports.
The solemn ceremony at the Independence Monument was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the government, heads of ministries and departments, military and law enforcement agencies, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country, hyakims of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, velayats.
The ceremony began with the performance of the national anthem of Turkmenistan by a military orchestra. The President laid a wreath at the monument, which is a symbol of freedom and sovereignty of the country. Other participants of the ceremony laid bouquets of flowers after the head of state.
