The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a regular meeting of the State Security Council. The meeting considered the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies in January-August of this year. The agenda also included issues related to ensuring security and peace in the country, strengthening the material and technical base of the military and law enforcement agencies, and further improving their work, the "Watan" news program reported.
As noted, first, the floor was given to the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev to report. He reported on the work carried out in the structures under his leadership for the first eight months of this year, the measures taken to further strengthen the country's defense capabilities, and improve the professional level of the commanders of the Armed Forces. It was also reported on the effective service of military personnel, the conditions created for their living, the beginning of the new academic year in specialized educational institutions, and preparations for the solemn military parade dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the country's Independence.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, after hearing the report, noted the importance of further strengthening the state's defense capabilities and continuing the work on modernizing the Armed Forces in order to implement the requirements of the defensive Military Doctrine.
Then, the heads of the military and law enforcement agencies reported on the results of the work carried out in their structures over the past eight months of this year, as well as the fulfillment of the instructions given by the President. The reports also included information on the implementation of relevant programs to improve the work of the military and law enforcement agencies.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, having listened to the reports, gave relevant instructions and instructions to the heads of the military and law enforcement agencies.
During the meeting of the State Security Council, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, also signed a Decree on the appointment and dismissal of judges of the country's courts, and on awarding them professional degrees.
Addressing the members of the State Security Council, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan noted the importance of good preparation for the 34th anniversary of the country's Independence. He also instructed the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev to ensure the high-level organization of the solemn military parade.
