Thanks to the hard work of our people, we have achieved great success in the year of “Magtymguly Pyragy, the Ocean of Wisdom” and have fulfilled our set plans.
Work continued on the preparation and implementation of modern laws. We have maintained a high growth rate of the economy. The growth of gross domestic product was 6.3 percent, including 1.5 percent in industry, 10.1 percent in trade, and 5.3 percent in agriculture.
Investments increased by 9.1 percent. A total of 5,735 new jobs were created during the reporting period. The volume of exports of products manufactured in the country exceeded 12 billion US dollars. Last year, 86 production and cultural and social facilities, as well as residential buildings with a total area of 1 million 145 thousand square meters, were put into operation from all sources of financing. Thousands of families celebrated their housewarming. The construction of the second stage of Arkadag city, the first "smart" city in the history of our country, was continued at the initiative of our hero Arkadag.
Major projects related to the fuel and energy complex were implemented. The construction of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline along the Ak Oliy of Arkadag, the main stage of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, was launched. In Ahal and Lebap provinces, the second stage of the Bakhtar and Lebap cement plants, high-voltage overhead power lines and power stations along the Balkan-Dazhog line were commissioned. Modern drinking water purification facilities were put into operation.
In the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, the "Magtymguly Pyragy" cultural and park complex and the monument to our poet and thinker, as well as a new complex of buildings of the Berdimuhamed Annayev Specialized Military School, international centers for healthcare and other facilities were put into operation.
Our farmers reaped a bountiful harvest and ensured the food security of our country. The State Budget for 2025 was adopted. The amount of wages, pensions, and state benefits was increased again.
A number of international events were organized to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker of the East, Magtymguly Fragi, and to declare the city of Anau the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” in 2024. An international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the master of words was held in our country at a high level entitled “Interconnection of eras and civilizations - the basis for peace and progress”.
The authority of our neutral state in the international arena is constantly growing. We are consistently developing our cooperation with the United Nations. Last year, several Resolutions were unanimously adopted within the framework of the General Assembly of the United Nations on the initiative of Turkmenistan. This is a clear indication that the initiatives of universal significance put forward by our neutral state have found great support in the world community. Neutral Turkmenistan also maintains effective cooperation with other major international and regional organizations.

We spend each year under a certain slogan. This year has been declared the “Year of International Peace and Confidence”. This motto has great meaning and content, inspiring us to carry out work aimed at further enhancing the prestige of our independent, permanent homeland and the further prosperity of our Motherland. This in turn places a great responsibility on us. Accordingly, we must work hard to put this motto into practice.

In accordance with the “Program of socio-economic development and investment of Turkmenistan in 2025”, this year it is planned to build and put into operation about 500 thousand square meters of residential buildings, 4 thousand 620-seat secondary schools, and 2 thousand preschool institutions. In order to improve the living conditions of our people, the construction of a number of facilities and buildings will be launched in the regions and the capital. It is also planned to complete the construction of a number of facilities.
This year, we will put into operation new, modern villages in the Alygaldy gengeshliks of Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal province, Govshut gengeshliks of Kaka etrap, Gyzylarbat etrap of Balkan province, a new town in Koneurgench etrap of Dashoguz province, a highway bridge over the Garabogazgol Gulf in Balkan province, an international airport complex in Jebel settlement of Balkan province. Also, the Mary-Turkmenistan section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenistan high-speed highway, and the Higher Educational Institution of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan will be put into operation.
In order to improve the living conditions of the population, significant funds will be invested in the construction of highways, communications, water, gas, electricity supply systems, water and sewage treatment facilities.
We will hold a number of important international events in the country on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Confidence. On the occasion of the declaration of 2025 as the “Year of International Peace and Confidence” and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, we must prepare appropriate proposals to award not only citizens of our country, but also foreign citizens. We must prepare at the highest level now to hold these remarkable dates, which will become particularly important events of our year.
