
On April 4, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting to review the results of its work for January-March. The meeting also discussed upcoming tasks, according to the Mejlis's website.
During the meeting, the objectives set by the President of the country to continue improving current legislation and bringing it into line with generally recognized norms of international law were emphasized.
Speeches at the meeting emphasized the importance of further developing fruitful relations with international organizations and parliaments around the world, supporting our country's peace-loving, humanitarian policy of positive neutrality through parliamentary diplomacy, and communicating this to the global community.
The implementation of the upcoming tasks of holding high-level events for the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, communicating to the world community and popularizing the socio-political significance of the year "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan - Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," and explaining the content of current laws to the population were noted as priority areas of activity for the deputies of the Mejlis.
