
Turkmenistan is implementing measures to integrate the state-owned postal service company Turkmenpost into the Universal Postal Union's International Postal System (IPS). This was reported by TDH following a Cabinet of Ministers meeting.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Annayev reported on the progress of modernizing the communications sector and developing the country's digital infrastructure. He stated that connecting to the IPS system will enhance the national postal service's competitiveness, establish interaction with the world's largest e-commerce platforms, and establish direct partnerships with them.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country is systematically developing the digital economy and establishing a modern logistics infrastructure. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to continue modernizing the communications industry and improving postal operations.
