The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of senior officials (SOM) of the ministries of foreign affairs of the participating states of the Central Asia-China format, which was held on April 27-28 in the Chinese city of Xi'an.
The meeting participants held a thorough exchange of views on a wide range of issues of multilateral cooperation.
The results of joint work for 2025 were summarized. Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the initiatives put forward at the Second Central Asia-China Summit in Astana. In particular, progress on the draft Long-Term Development Strategy for 2026–2030 was reviewed.
A number of projects were discussed, including the concept of creating an interregional council on investment and trade, a new economic partnership program, and a plan for green development until 2030.
Progress was noted in coordinating the project to create a unified digital portal, "Cultural Heritage of the Silk Road," designed to strengthen cultural and civilizational ties in the region.
The draft of a unified emblem for the Central Asia-China format was also reviewed, and issues related to organizing the 7th meeting of foreign ministers were discussed.
