Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with young men and women participating in the Galkynyş National Equestrian Games Group, TDH reported.
According to the agency, the National Leader of the Turkmen People asked the athletes about their training process, life goals and plans, and wished them success in upcoming international competitions.
The meeting took place ahead of the Turkmen delegation's participation in the World Equestrian Championships and the Akhal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest in the Netherlands. To prepare for these events, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov issued a decree establishing an organizing state committee, headed by the National Leader.
The Galkynyş group was created in 2007 on the initiative of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and unites young masters of trick riding and horse riding.
