Turkmenistan has approved a national forestry program until 2030.
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the national forestry program for 2026-2030. The document also approved an action plan for its implementation, TDH reported.
The resolution was adopted to strengthen the legal framework for state policy in the area of environmental protection, minimize the impact of climate change, and increase the resilience of ecosystems and forestry to its consequences.
The program is aimed at implementing the National Strategy of Turkmenistan on Climate Change.
