A conference was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to highlight the results of work carried out in January-February 2026. The meeting also discussed efforts to improve the country's national legislation and identified future objectives.
Conference participants exchanged views on the work being carried out to ensure the protection of human rights and freedoms, migration, environmental protection, licensing of certain types of activities, improving accounting and financial reporting, further improving the living conditions and social status of the population, as well as introducing relevant amendments and additions to a number of existing legislative acts.
The work being carried out to ensure a high level of organization for the elections to be held on March 29, 2026, was also noted.
