Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, has signed the relevant resolution convening the meeting. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The upcoming meeting aims to ensure broad public participation in addressing important issues of state and public life, as well as to foster the unity of Turkmen society.
According to the resolution, the People's Councils of the provinces and the city of Ashgabat must submit to the Office of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, by September 1, 2026, lists of public representatives nominated to serve in the supreme representative body from the provinces and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
